In this project W&A makes two art-videos based on visual material from two theatre performances by Rolf Alme. Both performances treat the themes of religious intolerance and religious fanaticism. The first is based on the character Tartuffe from Molière’s play with the same name. The second is based on the Greek tragedy “Antigone”.

There is an obvious thematic link between the theatre material and our art project. But the challenge is to convert material from live-art to an art form that normally has very different formal and compositional values.
